5 inexpensive ways moms should pamper themselves.

Being a mom is hard work and it never ends. There is blood, sweat and tears involved in this job… Oh, and feces… Lots of feces. We are not only moms… We are homemakers, wives, counselors, chefs, doctors, maids and friends… we do a lot. We deserve a spa weekend, right? Unfortunately, if you’re anything like I am, you wouldn’t dare spend over $100 on something like that for yourself.  Funny how we can spend hundreds of dollars at a time on useless stuff for our kids with no guilt. Lol
Here are some inexpensive ways a mom can pamper herself without feeling guilty.

I love these! I’ve used all different kinds. Some are expensive but those ones aren’t really necessary to do the job. At Walmart, they have a ton of them, all different kinds that are I believe 2 for $5. I even found a box of 6 masks at the dollar store for $1! You could go the all natural way and make your own masks. For face mask recipes, check out my pinterest board.

Homemade sugar face scrub

There are so many sugar scrub recipes. Here are 2 of my favorites.
Honey sugar scrub: Mix 1 tbls of sugar and 1 tbls of honey in a small container and BAM, done.  This is for clogged pores.
Coconut sugar scrub: Mix 1 tbls of coconut oil and 1 tbls of sugar in a small container with a lid.  This exfoliates and makes your skin soft. *Store in refrigerator*

Do your nails. I’m telling you, you’ll feel better when you paint your nails. It really boosts your confidence. If you suck at nail designs like I do, just paint one nail on each hand a different color. Simple yet satisfying. Keeping nail polish on your nails does keep them stronger and helps them grow.

Candlelit bubble bath

Get some bath bombs at walmart for$2 to $5 or some epsoms salt. Candles are cheap at walmart for the big pack of the plain tiny ones. To make this even more relaxing, get your phone and play soft music or nature sounds which is my personal favorite. I love the sound of rain.

Homemade foot soak

I found this on the internet a few years ago and it’s awesome! If you have dry skin on your feet, this solution will do wonders.
Mix 1/4 cup of Listerine mouthwash any kind, 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water and then soak your feet for 10 minutes and dead skin will practically wipe off.

All of these can be found for really cheap or you already have all of this in your home. Now, get your significant other to take over your parental duties or get a babysitter for an hour or 2 and go have your spa day. Once you’ve tried or have already tried any of these, let us know in the comments below.

There’s one thing I get for myself every month that I think every mom should get. I pay $10 a month for an ipsy bag. If you haven’t heard of this, its a monthly beauty bag that comes with samples and sometimes the full products. I love this bag and have been getting it for almost a year. I highly suggest it. If you are interested, let me know and I will send you the link.
