How My Little Wild Life Started

I have always love writing, I also loved telling stories! My favorite subject in school was English even if I sucked at spelling majority of the time. Well about two years ago I tried blogging, well I tried starting a blog. I started with Nerdy Mom Confessions then Faithful Nerdy Mom. Nothing stuck! I didn’t feel motivated to do it and was nervous that no one would read my content. I also couldn’t find content I wanted to write about.

Well fast forward two years to the beginning of 2018 a best friend of mine had been blogging for a while and suggested that I pick it up again. So I sat down and went to the drawing board. When I first started this blog I was under a different user Coffee plus Faith because what mom doesn’t enjoy coffee and second my faith is my rock that holds my sanity together. Well as time went on I came up with what I have now. Not only because my life has always been a little chaotically wild but because I am a mother to three children who act like wild animals the most of the time. They are good kids don’t get me wrong but all kids act wild some times right?

Advice I Could Give

Well there is a few pieces I could give, read What Not To Do for more.

First, Be you! I can not stress this enough. Just be you, don’t worry about numbers and statistics unless you plan on turning blogging into a business. Even then numbers at the end of the day shouldn’t sway you from being yourself. Don’t change your style because you aren’t getting the results you want. Write as if you were personally telling the story or whatever content you are writing. The more personal you sound the more readers you may get! I am not saying put personal information out there but make it close to home. This isn’t always true but it worked for me. I didn’t feel so generic and my readers could defiantly tell the difference between sounding like everyone else and sounding real.

Second, find a platform and content that fits you. Don’t try to copy or be a blog you admire because then it won’t be sincere. Be comfortable with what you use and the content you make, if you’re not comfortable with it you will most likely lose interest in it fast. When I first started I wasn’t comfortable in what I chose and couldn’t get into it. That goes hand in hand with being you. Find a style that you like and that fits you. This is not only and style of writing but how you make the blog look. It should fit you!

  1. That is great advice! We have to be ourselves. I remember in the beginning I read somewhere not to look at other peoples blogs at first because it will distract you from what YOU want to do. This is a great reminder to keep it all in perspective.
